Welcome Letter

WELCOME LETTER- GRADE 4

Dear Parents,

We wish you a warm welcome to the 2017-2018 school year. As always, we Grade 4 Teachers and Head of Year look forward to teaching your child throughout this new academic year.
As we strive to create an interesting and enriching educational experience for our students, we will integrate and align our various subjects into ta quarterly theme of “Once Upon A time”.  Each quarter will have its own theme and integrated learning approach.
We would like to take this opportunity to list below the names of your child’s teachers:
·         Marihan Magdy: Head of Year And Mathematics Teacher
·         Dinigar Chourbagi: English And Social Studies Teacher
·         Farida Boutros: Science Teacher
·         Heba Tawfik: French Teacher
·         Iman El Guindy: Floor Supervisor
·         Reda Ahmed: Arabic and Religion Teacher
·         Hala Aboulseoud: Civics Teacher
·         Mrs. Nermine Alaa El Din: Art Teacher
·         Mr Ali and Mr. Ahmed: P.E Teacher
·         Mr. John: Music Teacher
We are confident that our approach and background will provide our students with a positive and intriguing educational experience that will help shape an independent and motivated self-learner. If you wish to meet your child’s teacher or head of year, feel free to contact the school. Teachers’ office hours will be sent to you during the first week.
We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:
1) Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience
2) Uniform is a must under all circumstances (black or white shoes only)
3) Completes all homework assignments given by teachers
4) Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills
5) Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life
6) Informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject.

Finally, what our school does is important. What you do as parents is important. The choices that the students will make for themselves this year matter, probably far more than they know. I believe that all of us, working together, can change the world for the better, and I can’t wait to see what amazing things our students will accomplish over the next nine months. Best of luck to everyone, and let’s make 2017-2018 a year to remember!
Sincerely,
Grade 4 Head of Year and Teachers
